It was time for a return visit to Birdland and we really enjoyed our visit after walking along the river and a meal at a dog friendly pub in the centre of Bourton. There were plenty of ducks for Holly to look at and the penguin talk and feed at 3pm was fun to watch if a little drawn out. We were lucky with the weather and so were able to sit on the outside tables and relax with a cuppa. There were no longer any trout in the ponds but still plenty of birds to see. The nature trail has been turned into a walk with plastic dinosaurs lurking in the bushes and you can make dinosaur sounds with some of the display boards. Not really for us but it was a highlight for the visiting children. Holly definitely enjoyed her time at Birdland.

We had a fantastic day at Birdland with our Collie Cross Holly. There's lots of interesting bird species to see, the best and most spectacular being the King penguins. Holly loved lying on the bridges over the river Windrush watching the ducks. She also loved watching the Rainbow Trout in the pond as we gave them some fish food. There's a lovely new nature walk and an indoor exhibit (which dog's aren't allowed into). The cafe was closed for the winter but you can come and go all day on the same ticket and Bourton on the Water has plenty of dog friendly pubs.
