Plan a Visit to Discover Dogs 2012

Discover Dogs is a dog show that takes place on the 10th and 11th November 2012 at Earls Court 1, London. If you can't decide between a Labrador and a Husky, a visit to Discover Dogs will help you to choose and buy your perfect canine companion.

There are over 200 different breeds of dog to meet and expert first hand advice from specialist breeders who will help you to learn all about the personality, health and looks of each breed. Visitors looking to adopt their new pet should head to the Breed Rescue stand at Stand 6 to discuss options.

There is a lot to keep the whole family entertained in the main ring on both days of the Discover Dogs weekend. It's a smaller venue than Crufts so it's relatively easy to pop in and out of the seated area to watch your favourite items on the programme.

Saturday is the day for crossbreed dogs to put their best paw forward in the main ring. The Scruffts winners for: Most Handsome Dog, Prettiest Bitch, Child's Best Friend and Golden Oldie will be decided in front of a packed house. The winning pets will then go on to Crufts 2013, where they will compete for the overall Scruffts title. Previous winners have come in all shapes and sizes but they have all been judged to be healthy, happy and friendly dogs who have a special bond with their owners.

Agility enthusiasts will be hard pressed to leave the show ring on Sunday, with a full programme of agility displays and competitions. The competitions showcase all breeds of dog competing at the highest level, from rescue dogs to mixed pairs and ABC (Anything But Collies!)

Shoppers can visit the wide range of trade stands to start their Christmas shopping, support their favourite animal rescue charities and look for ideas to treat their dog. There will even be doggie ice cream for sale in cool bags to take home for pampered pets!

Even if you are not looking for a new pet, Discover Dogs is a great family day out and best of all children under 12 years go free!
